CAT Construction Tub

Food is such a great resource for sensory play and this construction vehicle tub is a perfect example of how quickly and easily food-based sensory tubs can be made.

Food-based CAT construction vehicle sensory tub.

What you need:

- a large plastic tub (IKEA under-bed storage tubs are perfect)

- yellow split peas and black beans

- rocks

- egg cartons (one large and one small)

- selection of small CAT toy vehicles

How to make the tub:

1. Use a measuring jug to pour the yellow split peas and black beans in thick stripes into the tub.

2. Cut the egg cartons in half. Fill the tops with rocks and fill the bottom half of the large carton with yellow split peas and black beans.

3. Add the CAT vehicles and that's it! My son has been playing with this tub everyday for the past week.
