Make-a-Monster

Randomly select monster parts to draw a crazy monster using markers.

Introducing 'Monster Green'.

What you need:
- white card
- markers
- coloured paper with monster parts written on them

Make-a-monster materials.

How it works:
This is a simple but fun monster drawing prompt that is a nice  afternoon activity or could even be used as a busy bag activity.

I wrote out different monster parts on different coloured paper. For example, on the orange paper I wrote different numbers of eyes (two eyes, five eyes etc.) and on the blue paper I wrote out the shape of the monster head (oval head, triangle head etc.).

He chose the 'oval head' blue paper at random.

I asked my son to choose one of each colour of paper to construct his monster. The pieces of paper were turned upside down so it was completely pot luck as to what he ended up with. I read out the details on his pieces of paper one at a time and he drew that part of the monster.

His crazy monster being formed.

He enjoyed using his imagination and found it very funny how silly his monster looked. We finished up by naming his crazy monster. Mummy even had a go too (excuse the complete lack of artistic ability!!).

Our crazy monsters.
