Invitation to Sort by Size

This invitation to sort by size is quick and easy to set up and will keep a little one occupied during some quiet time in the afternoon.

What you need:

- selection of toys and materials where you have a small version and a big version (e.g. cars, fruit, figures, crayons)

- a big and small sorting board (I used Creative QT peel-and-stick baseplates on our DIY Lego table)

How it works:

This one is pretty much self-explanatory. I left the resources set up and just helped my son to sound out the words on the baseplates and he started sorting the items straight away. He then took it upon himself to go on a hunt for more items to put in the bowl for me to try and sort.
