Add Some Extra Glow to your Building Activities!

My kids go bonkers for anything which involves turning off the lights and playing the the dark. These new Glow in the Dark Picasso Tiles are the perfect addition to our magnetic tile collection!

We were kindly gifted a set of Glow in the Dark Picasso Tiles (PT60-GID) by Picasso Tiles for purpose of review. All opinions and images are our own and completely genuine. This post contains affiliate links.

We are huge Picasso Tiles fans, they are definitely one of our most played with toys. We love their open-ended nature, as well as the fact that 22 month old baby sis and 5 year old big brother can collaborate on builds together! When we received these new Glow in the Dark Picasso Tiles we couldn't wait to get building.

The set contains 60 tiles, a mixture of colors and shapes. They look like the normal Picasso Tiles, until you turn the lights off! It is worth noting that you need to 'charge' the tiles in sunlight in order to get the glow effect. I left them outside all morning ready for some post-school play.

The kids set about their usual creative play and each built some structures. They were so excited to see the glow effect!

I turned off the lights and waited for their excited reactions. They didn't disappoint!

They thought it was super cool that their creations were now glowing. It added a really fun sensory element to their STEM play.

We kept the lights off and continued to build in the dark. It sparked so much imaginative play. Big bro decided to make a haunted house, carefully designing the spooky rooms. He even dug out our ghost toy as his resident. Meanwhile baby sis was totally engrossed in building a 'light tower'. The bright glow effect lasted for about 15 minutes before fading.

I know that these Glow in the Dark Picasso Tiles are going to get lots of play from my two kids. I'm sure they will be searching the house for the darkest building spot and making some awesome glowing creations together.
