This one had my son jumping with joy.......literally!! Bouncy balls covered in paint make awesome splatters on large rolled out paper.

What you need:
- large roll of paper (we used the IKEA roll and I had to weigh it down due to a slight wind)
- palette filled with acrylic paints
- bouncy balls (I chose to match the ball and paint colours)

How it works:
This was an invitation to paint and play for my little man. I simply set up the materials and let him explore them. To begin with his natural instinct was to try rolling the balls.

He soon realised that the balls were bouncy and had a great time seeing how many times he could get the ball to bounce and mark the paper. We even had competitions and compared the number of each colour splats.
Making sure to cover the ball with paint for big marks. |

My son isn't a huge fan of getting messy so he didn't stick with this activity for a substantial amount of time. However, he loved being outdoors and painting in a new and exciting way. He also loved chasing after the stray balls on foot and on his bike. Overall a fun and active way to explore mark making and painting.
