My 5 yr old son could not believe his luck when our Stunt Planes arrived! He's so into anything that moves on wheels or flies through the sky! We headed to our local park and set ourselves up in the middle of a soccer pitch. The whole toy literally took less than a minute to assemble, and my little guy did it all by himself.
Inside the box you get an air pump, tube, adjustable launcher and three planes. Each plane has a different speciality move which I think is a really nice touch.
Once we were set up there was no stopping my son! He could not stop running, stomping and jumping! Here's some of our favorite action shots!
There are several reasons why we had so much fun with this toy. The fact that it encourages being outside and gross motor movement is a big win. My son was so enthusiastic that he often ended up in a heap on the floor!
The cause and effect nature provides such a sense of achievement for little explorers. I loved watching my son's face as he tracked the flight of each plane, squealing with delight every single time!
As a parent I appreciated how it prompted so many scientific discussions. We experimented with different angles of release, different amounts of power when stomping, and also with the different designs of plane. My kids would often adjust the launcher to see which angle resulted in the furthest flight.
I must give baby sis a little mention too. She's only 18 months but she was so determined to make the planes fly! She stomped her little heart out! She was so fascinated with how the planes launched and did stunts in the sky.
