Fingerprint Spring Cards

Hand-made cards are always cute, but even more so when there are chicks and bunnies involved!

What you need:
- white card
- scissors
- pink and yellow acrylic paint
- paint palette or a plate
- permanent marker
- a mat or a tray to contain the mess (we used our trusty Messmatz)

How it works:
This is a lovely way to add a personal touch to your spring or Easter cards. Start off by cutting your card to your desired size. My 5 year old decided he wanted to make one big card and two mini cards. Next it was time to add the pink and yellow prints to the cards.

For the yellow chicks my son used his index finger and for the pink bunnies he used his thumb to make the print bigger. He enjoyed deciding how many of each animal to put on his cards.

We left the paint to dry and then it was time to turn the blobs into adorable chicks and bunnies using the marker.

I loved watching my son delicately adding the features to each animal.

He finished off by writing 'Happy Spring' and a nice message inside each card. And of course the most exciting part will now be putting the flag up on our mailbox so that we can send them!
